group work
Group retreats focused on shadow work can provide a transformative and enriching
experience for participants.
These workshops create a safe and supportive environment
where individuals come together to explore their inner selves, confront their shadows, and
foster personal growth.
Here’s an overview of what participants might expect and benefit from during such retreats:
Safe Space for Exploration
Retreats are held in serene, nature-inspired settings that encourage introspection and emotional openness.
With skilled and experienced facilitation, participants can feel safe sharing their experiences, thoughts, and feelings with others who are on similar journeys.
Structured Guidance
Experienced facilitators guide participants through various
exercises, discussions, and reflective practices designed to help individuals identify
and engage with their shadow selves.
These structured activities include journaling, guided visualisation, group sharing, morning movement and art therapy.
Community Support
One of the greatest benefits of shadow work retreats is the sense of community.
Sharing experiences and insights with others fosters connection, empathy, and understanding of oneself and others.
Participants often find comfort in knowing they are not alone in their struggles.
Diverse Perspectives
Engaging with a diverse group allows participants to gain new perspectives.
Hearing different experiences and insights can illuminate their own shadow aspects and inspire deeper reflection.
Healing and Integration
The retreat setting provides an opportunity for participants to explore challenging emotions and present and historic experiences.
This is a gradual process....
Through guided activities and discussions, individuals can work towards integrating these experiences, leading to healing and greater emotional resilience.
Our retreats are a little longer than most to allow for gentle, creative integration and rest to happen around and after process work.
Mindfulness Practices
Our retreats incorporate mindfulness techniques, such as breathwork, guided meditation, nature connection, and movement.
These practices help participants stay grounded during the emotional exploration, providing tools to manage feelings as they arise.
Personal Growth
By delving into their shadows, participants can experience significant and authentic
personal growth.
They may emerge with a clearer understanding of themselves, stronger emotional skills, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Actionable Tools
Participants leave with practical tools and strategies to continue their shadow work journey at home.
These can include journaling prompts, meditation techniques, and frameworks for ongoing self-reflection.
9. Follow-Up Support: Many retreats offer ongoing support after the event, such as
group calls or online communities, allowing participants to continue their journey and
maintain connections with fellow attendees.
By engaging in this work alongside others, participants can foster connections, learn from one another, and emerge with valuable insights that enhance their personal growth journey.
Whether seeking to confront personal challenges, connect with like-minded individuals, or gain new tools for self-awareness, these retreats can serve as a catalyst for meaningful change.
Group retreats focused on shadow work can be a profound experience that promotes healing,
self-discovery, and community.
our method
In our group retreats we use in-depth experiential sessions where time is initially spent exploring, understanding and experiencing the principles of Shadow Work.
We do this in a way that invites participants to look through the lens of the Archetypes and explore in a with joy and depth through presentations, group rounds, pair work, visualisations and small group exercises.
Each participant has time during the retreat to explore their individual issue through a facilitated process.
This is a participant lead process where we as facilitators may offer guidance and the process structure, but the participant always chooses the direction and pace.
During the process, we will take a look at what you want to have to happen, to take a step back from the situation to see it from different perspectives, to see which parts of you are involved and the possible origin of any behaviours or beliefs.
You can then explore how to work with and change things.
Some participants are clear on what they want to get from doing Shadow Work and some might not be, and some find it changes or find something they weren't even aware of throughout the retreat.
Just knowing what that is sometimes enough!
Our retreats are a little longer and more spacious than most, to allow time to integrate the work and relax before returning to our home life.
We also offer the opportunity for movement and bodywork each morning to get the system moving and clearing itself - these sessions are optional and are accessible to every body.
